“The Mighty Lions”, of Kingdom Prep are the 2013 NACA Division III National Basketball Champions!

March 9, 2013 (Columbus, GA) - Kingdom Christian Academy & Preparatory School defeated state high school champions, Horizon High School of Indiana to capture the 2013 NACA Division III National Basketball Championship! We have won 1 state championship and 3 national championships in two years!

We have a record of 31-3 this year, and an overall record of 56-3. Our players Jontavious Miles, Paul McGill, Wenthia Warrick, Lamarcus White, Sam Edwards, and Peter McGill played beyond their years. Leron Jackson and Keion Alexander were voted All Americans, and Dr. Marshall S. Lanier-McGill was voted the National Coach of the year! He led both the Kingdom Prep Elite Team and the High School Team to National Championships. Go Lions!

“The Mighty Lions”, of Kingdom Prep Win Again!

March 8, 2013 (Columbus, GA) - The Mighty Lions of Kingdom Christian Academy and Preparatory School, Columbus, GA advances to the NACA National Championship with a 103-93 win against Cornerstone High School of Cleveland, OH, in Dayton, TN, on March 7, 2013.

In last night’s Semi-Final game, Leron Jackson scored 44 points, Lamarcus White had 12 points and 14 rebounds, Wenthia Warrick had 19 points and 15 assists, Jontavious Miles had 24 points, with 20 of them being scored in the 3rd quarter, and Keion Alexander had a total of 14 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. "It was a tough game, against a top ranked, division champion team", says Head Coach, Dr. Marshall S. Lanier-McGill. “It was a dog fight! We tried multiple defenses and kept the pressure on them. They were a very well coached team with fantastic shooters. We told the guys at half time, that we were not going back to Columbus, GA without a championship! So the Mighty Lions dug deep and arose victorious!”

The Mighty Lions will play for the 2013 NACA Championship Tonight, March 8, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. The game will stream LIVE at www.nacasports.com. Go Lions!

“The Mighty Lions”, of Kingdom Prep are playing for another National Championship!

March 7, 2013 (Columbus, GA.) - Kingdom Christian Academy & Preparatory School of Columbus, GA., defeated Gabriel Christian Academy, TN, 94-71 last night, and are on their way to a two- time National Championship. In last night’s game against Gabriel High, KCAPS’ Leron Jackson lead all scorers with 43 points, Keion Alexander had 14 points and 16 rebounds, Wenthia Warrick had 17 points and 14 assists, and Paul McGill had 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Mighty Lions will be playing again tonight against Cornerstone HS, OH, at 9:30 p.m. Winning this game will place The Mighty Lions for the NACA 2013 Division III Championship, taking place tomorrow, March 8, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. Both games will stream live at http://nacasports.net.

Kingdom PREPS’ Elite Team won the 2013 NACA Elite National Championship on March 1, 2013 in Dayton, TN, against Covenant Ministries, GA. http://nacasports.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/NACA-Elite-Basketball-2013.pdf

This could very well mean three National and one State Championships in two years for Kingdom Prep High School. Go Mighty Lions! Columbus, GA. should be very proud. KCAPS is currently 27-3, and has a two year record of 40-3.
